
Woman dies in hospital, police arrests accused husband
Gurugram. The husband beat up his wife to take revenge for an altercation at her in-laws’ house. After this, they sprinkled petrol and set it on fire. The incident is said to have happened on the night of 30th November. The woman died during treatment in the hospital on Monday. In this case, on the complaint of the woman’s parents, the police have registered a case of murder and arrested the accused husband. The deceased woman was identified as 37-year-old Neetu, a resident of Raisina.
According to the police, on December 1, information was received from Sohna Hospital that a woman was burnt in a fire. After first aid, he was first referred to Gurugram and then to Rohtak. The police team reached the hospital and recorded the statement of the woman. In the statement, the woman had said that she was married to Anand, a resident of Raisina, 16 years ago. On the night of 30 November, Anand came home drunk and after a fight, beat her up. After this, he took out petrol from the bike parked in the house, sprinkled it on it and set it on fire with a lighter.
Taking action in the case, the police arrested the accused husband Anand from Raisina village on Monday. The accused told during interrogation that a few days ago his sister-in-law’s wedding was taking place in his in-laws’ house. During this time there was an altercation with the in-laws. Due to his grudge, he had set Neetu on fire on November 30 after assaulting her.
