AQI reached 500 in Jahangirpuri
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has imposed Grape Stage-IV restrictions in Delhi-NCR to control air pollution. Despite this, there is no reduction in air pollution. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the average air quality index (AQI) of the capital was recorded at 454 on Monday, which has been kept in the very severe category of air. AQI close to 500 has been recorded in many areas of Delhi.
AQI was recorded at 493 in Anand Vihar area, 472 in Bawana, 454 in Burari, 348 in Chandni Chowk, 464 in Dwarka, 469 in ITO, 500 in Jahangirpuri, 468 in Narela and 450 in Mundka, which is placed in the very severe category of air. Apart from this, AQI 466 has been recorded in Noida adjacent to Delhi, 435 in Greater Noida, 459 in Ghaziabad, 291 in Gurugram and 218 in Faridabad.
