In the Delhi vs Gujarat match of VHT 2025 being played at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, Virat Kohli once again proved why he is considered the best batsman in the world. Against Gujarat, Kohli batted aggressively in T20 style and completed his half-century in just 29 balls.

Kohli’s strong innings

After the early dismissal of opener Priyansh Arya, Kohli came to the crease and started batting in his flamboyant style. He completed his innings of 77 runs in just 61 balls, which included 13 fours and 1 six. While completing his half-century, his strike rate was around 200, which is very rare in List-A cricket. This innings of Kohli reflects his ‘classic’ style, in which he dominates the opposition bowlers with the ball right from the start.

Disappointment on Rohit Sharma’s first ball

On the other hand, Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma disappointed the fans in the match being played against Uttarakhand in Jaipur. He started Mumbai’s innings, but while attempting his favorite ‘pull shot’ on the very first ball, the ball went straight into the hands of the fielder standing at square leg and Rohit returned to the pavilion without losing his account.

Both Kohli’s aggression and Rohit’s initial flop were highlights in this match. Kohli’s brilliant batting kept Delhi in a strong position, while Rohit’s early dismissal became a matter of concern for Mumbai. Virat Kohli’s half-century once again made the audience realize his cricketing ability.
