Sudarshan may be out for 6-8 weeks
Sai Sudarshan has suffered a rib fracture during the Vijay Hazare Trophy, due to which he may stay away from cricket for six to eight weeks. Sai Sudarshan suffered this injury during the Vijay Hazare Trophy match played in Ahmedabad between Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh. While diving to complete the run, he suffered a fracture in the front portion of his right seventh rib. According to the scan report, it is a mild and undisplaced fracture.
Sudarshan is under the supervision of doctors
According to sources, Sai Sudarshan had reached BCCI’s Center of Excellence in Bangalore on December 29, where the injury was confirmed during the investigation. Interestingly, the place where the fracture occurred was the same spot where he suffered the injury in his first net session during the tournament. The COE report states that Sai is currently doing lower body strength and conditioning training to help his recovery while keeping his ribs safe. According to the report, in the next 7-10 days, when the pain and swelling goes down, he will gradually be included in upper body training. Due to this injury, the chances of Sai Sudarshan playing the remaining matches for Tamil Nadu are very less.
