
Treasure in Tonk: A sensation spread in Deori village of Sindra, Gram Panchayat of Niwai, Tonk, on Saturday evening, when information was received that a cauldron was found in the pasture land near the fields. As soon as the information was received, Niwai police and administrative officials reached the spot.
According to sources, around 4 pm on Saturday evening, some villagers saw fresh rose leaves, a pair of slippers and incense sticks lying in the pasture land near the fields. Seeing this scene, the villagers immediately informed the village, after which a large number of people gathered on the spot. The villagers called Sarpanch Ramsahay Meena. The Sarpanch informed the police and administration about the entire incident.
Discussions about finding treasure started among villagers
The villagers present expressed apprehension that a dead body might be buried at that place. After this, the administration called for JCB machine and got the excavation done. During the excavation a cauldron was taken out from the ground. After the cauldron was found, discussions started among the villagers about finding the treasure and within no time hundreds of people gathered at the spot.
Police and administration took the cauldron into their custody
When the rumor of the treasure spread, Police Officer Ghasiram, Tehsildar Naresh Gurjar, Land Records Officer and Police Japta reached the spot. The police and administration controlled the situation and took the cauldron into their custody and sent it to Niwai police station. The matter was also informed to Sub Divisional Officer Preeti Meena.
