Mustafizur Rahman first reaction: In view of the ongoing political tension between India and Bangladesh, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who bought Mustafizur Rahman for Rs 9.20 crore in the mini auction, released him from the team on the orders of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). While people in India are divided into two sides regarding Rahman’s ouster, Bangladesh Cricket Board has also expressed strong objection to it. Along with this it has been said that when one player is not safe there then how will the entire Bangladesh team be safe in the T20 World Cup? Meanwhile, Mustafizur himself has broken his silence on this matter and expressed his disappointment over it.

‘If you are released…’

Mustafizur Rahman gave his first reaction while talking to BDcrictime and said that if you are released, what else can you do? From this it can be clearly understood how disappointed Rahman is. In fact, for the past few days, many politicians have targeted KKR and its co-owner Shahrukh Khan for including Rahman in the team amid the ongoing political tension between India and Bangladesh. Recently BJP leader Sangeet Som even called Shahrukh Khan a traitor.

The franchisee immediately followed the instructions

Let us tell you that in recent months many Hindus have been murdered in Bangladesh, due to which relations between the two countries have deteriorated. Mustafizur Rahman is also being targeted for the same reason. Seeing Mustafizur’s issue heating up, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia hurriedly issued instructions to KKR on Saturday to release him. After this, the franchise immediately followed the instructions and released him.

Demand to shift T20 World Cup matches to Sri Lanka

According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, Bangladesh Cricket Board is also preparing to take action. BCB is going to write a letter to ICC demanding that their upcoming T20 World Cup matches be shifted from India to Sri Lanka. Bangladesh was actually supposed to play its matches in Kolkata. BCB is worried about the safety of its team and hence wants the matches to be shifted out of India.
