
First full dress rehearsal on Mahal Road before Army Day Parade, grand display of army’s strength and technology.
Jaipur. Before the Army Day Parade being organized outside the Army area for the first time in Jaipur, the first full dress rehearsal took place on Mahal Road (Jagatpura) on Friday. The presence of tanks, missiles, state-of-the-art weapons, robotic dogs and drones during the rehearsal thrilled the common people. Especially the Mudhol Hound dogs wearing glasses were the center of attraction of the people. Before the full dress rehearsal, the army band performed with patriotic tunes. After this the parade formally started. At the forefront, the officers honored with the Gallantry Award saluted the parade commander. Officers awarded Ashok Chakra, Paramvir Chakra and Mahavir Chakra led the parade. Behind them, the army band and the cavalry marched the parade forward.
A glimpse of the army’s modern combat capability was shown in the rehearsal. Tanks, missile systems, machine guns, armored vehicles and other military equipment were visible on the road. BrahMos missile and robotic dogs were displayed in the tableau of ‘Operation Sindoor’, which impressed the audience. Despite the severe cold, a large number of people came to watch the army rehearsal. In view of security, only those who had registered were given entry. It was made mandatory to reach by 8:45 am. Once the rehearsal started, no one was allowed to interrupt or leave the venue before the end of the programme.
Brave soldiers of the Indian Army performed amazing stunts on motorcycles. The spectators cheered the soldiers with applause for their feats like making a pyramid on a bike, riding a bike on a tyre, balancing a bike and walking while standing on it. The soldiers also made figures of national symbols like Ashoka Pillar and lotus flower on the motorcycles. During the rehearsal, the indigenous breed of dogs included in the army also paraded. The agility, agility and discipline of the dogs of Mudhol Hound, Rampur Hound, Chippiparai, Kombai and Rajapalayam breeds were worth seeing. Especially the Mudhol Hound dogs wearing glasses attracted everyone’s attention. These dogs are trained for surveillance, security and operational needs in the army.
The soldiers of Madras Regiment conducted a spectacular flag march. This contingent included one officer, two JCOs and 144 soldiers. The soldiers of Arunachal South also mesmerized the audience with their enthusiasm and discipline by carrying out a flag march. The footsteps of these soldiers, adept at fighting in snowy and mountainous areas, gave the message of the strength of the army. A glimpse of Bhairav Battalion was also seen for the first time in the parade rehearsal. This new special force, formed in January 2026, has been prepared for drone-based operations. The unit comprises a large number of trained drone operators, who are capable of handling hybrid and multi-domain challenges. The Army also displayed state-of-the-art drones, which are capable of flying at a height of 4 thousand meters. Along with this, the capability of modular bridge was also shown, through which the army can prepare a route in any area in a very short time.
