New Delhi: Delhi government on Wednesday dedicated 81 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs to the public in order to provide better and accessible primary health services to the people. These Jan Arogya temples built in different areas of Delhi were inaugurated. This initiative of Rekha Government will further strengthen the primary healthcare services at ward and mohalla level in Delhi. At the same time, the Jan Arogya Mandir started in Geeta Colony four block of Krishna Nagar assembly constituency was inaugurated by Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra.

Addressing the inaugural programme, Harsh Malhotra said that after the formation of the BJP government in Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is fulfilling all the promises made during the elections in a phased manner. He told that on Wednesday, 81 Jan Arogya Mandirs have been inaugurated simultaneously across Delhi, which are being dedicated directly to the public. He claimed that in the last 11 months, during the tenure of the BJP government, more than 200 Jan Arogya Mandirs have been started in Delhi.

Union Minister of State Malhotra said; “The already existing government buildings and infrastructure are being better utilized to start Jan Arogya Mandirs. These centers have been developed by repairing and improving old buildings, so that better facilities can be provided while saving government money. In these Jan Arogya temples, along with examination by the doctor, tests like blood test will be completely free. If needed, external investigation will also be conducted free of cost by the government. General physicians and other specialist doctors will be specially deployed in Jan Arogya temples.

On the inauguration of 81 Arogya Mandirs, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said, “On this festival of Makar Sankranti, today in Delhi, we are taking forward the work of dedicating the next 81 Arogya Mandirs to the public. Before this, 238 Arogya Mandirs have already been opened in Delhi. Continuously, through these Arogya Mandirs, we are giving Delhi a convenient place for primary health. People will get good healthcare in Delhi. Our target is to have 1100 Arogya Mandirs. And we are working to achieve it.”
