
New Delhi. The severe cold has increased the problems of the people in many states of the country including North India. According to the India Meteorological Department, cold wave conditions will persist for the next two days in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha. After this, the effect of cold is likely to gradually reduce.
The Meteorological Department has also warned that there will be dense to very dense fog in the morning and night hours over North-West India and Bihar for the next five days. Visibility can be extremely low due to fog, which will have a direct impact on road, rail and air traffic. The speed of vehicles on the roads may slow down, while the possibility of delay in running of many trains has also been expressed.
According to the Meteorological Department, cold day conditions may persist in some areas of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh for the next two days. Cold wave will continue in different parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Odisha on January 16 and 17. At the same time, cold outbreak may also be seen in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand on January 16.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense to very dense fog in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttarakhand till January 17. After this, dense fog may persist in Punjab-Haryana-Chandigarh till January 22 and in different areas of Uttarakhand till January 20. Fog will remain in effect in Western Uttar Pradesh till January 18 and in Eastern Uttar Pradesh till January 19.
