IPL 2026 The discussion regarding this has now intensified. The Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI has also given a deadline to Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday 20th January. Will BCCI allow Rajasthan and Bengaluru teams to organize their matches in Jaipur and Bengaluru or not? This will have to be informed by January 27th. There is doubt on the home ground of these two teams, because Sawai Man Singh of Jaipur will not be able to get hosting because the elections of Rajasthan Cricket Association have not been held. At the same time, due to what happened after the winning celebration of IPL 2025 in Bengaluru, RCB will not organize its matches there. Even though the Karnataka government has given conditional green signal to the stadium, that condition is scary.
According to the report published in Dainik Jagran, Rajasthan Royals can play its home matches in Pune, while RCB can organize five home games in DY Patil Stadium and two in Raipur. However, to organize the match in Navi Mumbai, RCB will have to take NOC from Mumbai Indians, because as per IPL rules, matches of two teams cannot be organized in one city. The report further states that the schedule of IPL 2026 will be revealed when the election dates of Tamil Nadu, Assam and Bengal are revealed. On the other hand, RCB is scared of the Karnataka government law. RCB may be trying to show that it wants to organize its home games at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, but in reality it is not so, because in this report, a BCCI source said that the Karnataka government has passed a law after the incident that happened there (in which 11 people lost their lives), which states that if any match or event is being held in the stadium, then if any incident happens on the outer road around it, then the organizers will be responsible for it. This is the reason why RCB owners are afraid of this law. IPL 2026 is going to start from March 26 and the final match will be held on May 31. IPL matches can be organized in Chennai, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai (Wankhede), Kolkata, Ahmedabad, New Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Dharamshala, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Navi Mumbai (DY Patil) and Thiruvananthapuram.
