Bhutan decided to bowl

Richie Berrington has been made the captain of the Scotland team for this T20 World Cup. 11 players of the team playing T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA in 2024 have been re-selected in the team for this time’s mega event. Tom Bruce, Finlay McCreath and Oliver Davidson are set to play in the World Cup for the first time after being included in Scotland’s T20 and ODI squads last year. In this way, these four new names are new to the team including Zainullah Ihsan. Cricket Scotland’s performance head Steve Snell said about Zainullah, “Obviously this is a great opportunity for Zainullah Ihsan and whenever he has played at youth level or for the ‘A’ squad, he has shown a lot of skills and bowled at real pace. We are very happy for him and are excited to see him How do they perform on the first international tour? The Scotland team was not a part of this 20-team tournament, but the Bangladesh team had refused to play the T20 World Cup in India. In such a situation, ICC had to go to its Plan B. The ICC invited top-ranked side Scotland for this mega event, which Scotland accepted. Apart from the 15-man squad, 2 traveling reserve and 3 non-traveling reserve players have also been announced by Cricket Scotland, as they had less time to prepare. The two traveling reserve players are Jasper Davidson and Jack Jarvis, while the three non-travelling reserves are McKenzie Jones, Chris McBride and Charlie Tear. The final team is still dependent on visa approval of players and staff. Scotland will begin their World Cup campaign against West Indies at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 7 February.
