Budget 2026: Today Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting her record 9th general budget in the Lok Sabha. In the address of Budget 2026, the Finance Minister said that the government at the Center under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is doing every work to benefit the citizens. In the Budget 2026 address, the Finance Minister has gifted 7 high speed train corridors to the country. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that 7 high speed trains will be operated between cities. This includes Pune-Mumbai, Pune-Hyderabad, Hyderabad-Bengaluru, Hyderabad-Chennai, Chennai-Bengaluru, Delhi-Varanasi and Varanasi-Siliguri.

Announcement of new rail corridor in the budget
In Budget 2026, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, during her address in the Lok Sabha, has announced to develop 7 new high-speed rail corridors in the country. Its main objective is to connect the major economic centres, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities of the country. These corridors will become corridors between Mumbai-Pune, Pune-Hyderabad, Hyderabad-Chennai, Hyderabad-Bengaluru, Chennai-Bengaluru, Delhi-Varanasi and Varanasi-Siliguri.
