Increase of Rs 6 crore this time
This time BCCI has increased the prize money by Rs 6 crore to Rs 131 crore, which is the biggest bonus amount so far in the history of Indian cricket. Board officials believe that defending the title on home ground is a big achievement, hence this amount has been increased to encourage the players.
