He is accused of getting jobs in two government departments of different districts by making fake documents. In which I got my first job in the year 1979 as a non-medical assistant in the health department of Pratapgarh district. He got the second job in 1993 as a teacher in the education department of his own district, Barabanki. The accused not only joined another job but also continued taking salary at both the places. Surprisingly, this sequence continued for about 15 years, but no one was aware of it.

In the year 2009, a young man lodged a complaint with the police that Jai Prakash Singh had got a job at two places through fake documents. At first it seemed that Prabhat Singh might have accused Jai Prakash Singh due to some conspiracy, but when information was sought under RTI, a shocking revelation came to light. After the revelation, everyone was shocked as to how the same person could work in two government departments simultaneously.

Court sentenced 7 years imprisonment

When during investigation he was found to be working at two places, the police registered an FIR against the accused Jai Prakash Singh on serious charges of fraud and forgery. During this time he was suspended from his job and the case reached the court. The case continued in the court for a long time. In which the court, on the basis of witnesses and investigation, found the allegation of cheating the government machinery to be true. During this time, the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Sudha Singh sentenced Jai Prakash Singh to 7 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 30 thousand. Apart from this, an order was also given to recover the salary taken from the government treasury.
