The government has decided to increase its annual fees by 2.5 percent i.e. Rs 75. After this the price of this pass will increase from Rs 3000 to Rs 3075. The new rates will be applicable from April 1. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways launched the FASTag Annual Pass on August 15 last year. This pass is valid for one year from the date of issue or for 200 trips, whichever is completed first. This facility is applicable on the national highways of the entire country, whereas on the highways under the state governments, toll is deducted only through the normal FASTag account.
If you buy before April 1, you will get it at the old price.
According to officials, the provision for change in the price of FASTag Annual Pass every year was already decided. This increase is made on the basis of the formula for annual revision of toll rates across the country. In such a situation, those who buy or recharge this pass before April 1, they will still get it at the old price of Rs 3000. At the same time, people buying it after April 1 will have to pay Rs 3075. It is estimated that this change will affect about 52 lakh users.
Where can FASTag Annual Pass be purchased?
