New Delhi. A tragic accident took place in Cuttack, Odisha on Monday. A massive fire suddenly broke out in the ICU of SCB Medical College Hospital here. 10 people died and 11 were injured in this accident. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has informed about this incident. As soon as the news of the accident was received, the Chief Minister immediately reached the hospital and took stock of the situation on the spot.

President expressed grief

President Draupadi Murmu on Monday expressed deep condolence over the fire incident in the hospital in Odisha. He expressed his condolences to the people who lost their lives in this accident and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. President Murmu expressed his feelings on the incident on social media platform ‘X’. He wrote, ‘I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the tragic incident of fire in a hospital in Cuttack, Odisha. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Former Chief Minister expressed grief over the accident

Meanwhile, former Chief Minister of Odisha and leader of opposition Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep grief over the fire incident at SCB Medical Hospital in Cuttack. He wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, ‘The incident of fire in SCB Medical Hospital, Cuttack, in which many people died, is very sad. I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the peace of the departed souls. Along with this, I pray for the speedy recovery of those seriously injured in the fire. I urge the state government to ensure best medical facilities for all the injured. The Mayor of Cuttack and the MLA of Tangi Chaudwar have been instructed to reach the spot and provide assistance.
