
New Delhi. On Friday, the atmosphere suddenly got heated due to the rumor of child lifter in Banshidih of Chas, Bokaro, Jharkhand. Based on suspicion, the local people surrounded five sadhus and beat them severely. The angry mob also broke the glass panes of the Sadhus’ Bolero car. According to eyewitnesses, Sadhu got down from the vehicle and was talking to the children. There was suspicion when a second plate was seen below the number plate and the crowd got angry. On information, Chas police station in-charge arrived with police force, took control of the situation and took the sadhus to the police station.
The accused are residents of Sambhal, UP
The sadhus told the police that they are residents of Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh and roam around for livelihood. They are not child lifters. He also gave his Aadhar card for verification. SDPO Chas and Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh appealed to the people to avoid rumors and not take law into their hands.
The crowd surrounded the wandering sadhus
Actually, the people nearby surrounded the five wandering sadhus. Meanwhile, many people started attacking them. Then the mob attacked his Bolero car. In addition, the mob broke the glass of many windows. Police from Chas police station arrived immediately. The police took the sadhus to a safe place. Eyewitnesses said that they got out of their car. However, when the sages talked to the children they became suspicious. Some nearby people saw another plate below the number plate. This increased people’s suspicion further.
Rumor of child theft in Bokaro
Let us tell you that due to the rumor of child theft in Bokaro, many people were beaten up by the mob in the last two days. A young man was beaten up at night near Neelam Narsingh Home of Chas police station area. Sadhus who came from UP were beaten up by people near Vanshidih of Chas police station area. Till the third incident came to light when villagers stopped a woman due to rumor of child theft and then beat her up and there was a huge uproar. In all three cases, the police saved everyone and freed the people from the clutches.
