A new case of match fixing has come to light in Indian domestic cricket, in which four domestic cricketers from Assam have been suspended with immediate effect. This action has been confirmed by Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Secretary Sanatan Das himself.

Giving information on Friday, Sanatan Das said that the names of the players who have been suspended in this case related to fixing are Amit Sinha, Ishan Ahmed, Aman Tripathi and Abhishek Thakuri. All these players have represented Assam at different levels. It is alleged that all four were involved in corrupt activities in cricket and were trying to influence and instigate some players during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025.

Fixing In Cricket As soon as this serious matter came to light, the Anti-Corruption Unit of BCCI started investigation. After investigation, ACA not only suspended these players but also initiated criminal action against them. Assam Cricket Association has lodged an FIR against the four cricketers in the Crime Branch of Guwahati.

BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has also taken a strict stance on this entire incident. He gave a clear warning that any kind of fixing or corruption in cricket will not be tolerated at all and strict action will be taken against the culprits.

It is noteworthy that Riyan Parag, who has earned international recognition for Assam, also plays, but the four players on whom Fixing In Cricket He was not part of Assam’s official squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025.
