
Gir Somnath (Gujarat): Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Somnath on Saturday as part of his three-day Gujarat tour. PM offered prayers at K Somnath temple. The PM also participated in the chanting of ‘Omkar Mantra’ at the Somnath temple.
During this, he also participated in the rituals organized under the ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ ceremony at the ancient pilgrimage site.
Pictures made in the sky with the help of 3000 drones in drone show
On this occasion, PM Modi also saw a grand drone show, in which huge images of Lord Shiva and Shivalinga were created through figures based on various themes. Along with this, a wonderful 3D depiction of Somnath temple was also done.
In this drone show, with the help of about 3000 drones, pictures of different dots were created in the sky over the Arabian Sea with the coordination of light. The dazzling sights emerging in the sky became the main center of attraction for the people. Dotted pictures of Lord Shankar, Veer Hamirji, Ahilya Bhai Holkar, attack on Somnath, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, logo of Swabhiman Parv and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were shown through drone light. All these photographs reflected Indian culture, self-respect and national pride.
A total of 40 trained operators managed this spectacular drone show. This show, which lasted for about 15 minutes, mesmerized the audience present there. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel were present in the courtyard of Somnath Temple and expressed their happiness after seeing this spectacular drone show. The people present on this occasion also felt proud and happy after seeing this wonderful sight. Immediately after the drone show, spectacular fireworks took place on the nearby beach, the sky became colorful with a variety of firecrackers
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi was welcomed by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and other dignitaries at the helipad near the famous Somnath Mahadev temple located near Veraval town in Gir Somnath district.
In a post on ‘X’, Prime Minister Modi said, “I feel blessed to be at Somnath, which is a glorious symbol of our civilizational courage. This yatra is taking place during the Somnath Swabhiman festival.
He said that Somnath temple was attacked by invaders in 1026 and this year has completed one thousand years of the attack. From the helipad, PM Modi along with his entourage reached the VVIP Circuit House located near the temple. During this time, a large number of local and outside devotees had gathered on both sides of the road to welcome Modi.
Let us tell you that ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ is being celebrated to remember the countless citizens of India who have made sacrifices to protect the temple, which will continue to inspire the cultural consciousness of the coming generations. This program has been organized in the background of the completion of one thousand years of Mahmud Ghazni’s attack on Somnath temple in 1026 AD.
Somnath Temple Trust meeting at Circuit House
PM Modi presided over the meeting of Somnath Temple Trust at Circuit House. He gave this information on social media platform X. He wrote, ‘This evening I presided over the meeting of Somnath Trust in Somnath. Various aspects related to improving the infrastructure of the temple complex and making the pilgrimage to Somnath more memorable were reviewed in the meeting.
