Three flights at Hyderabad Airport have received bomb threat emails within two days, after which security agencies are on alert. These threat emails were sent to the customer support ID of the airport. Hyderabad Airport GMR said that necessary security procedures were followed in all cases and passengers are safe.

British Airways flight threatened

On Saturday, a threatening email was sent to British Airways flight BA 277, which was coming from London Heathrow to Hyderabad. The plane landed safely at 5:25 am, after which standard security checks began at the airport.

Kuwait Airways flight returned

On the same day, Kuwait Airways flight KU 373 also received a bomb threat. This flight was to come to Hyderabad, but in view of the danger, the plane was sent back to Kuwait Airport.

Air India flight also received threat a day before

On December 5, 2025, a bomb threat email was received on the customer support email of Hyderabad Airport in the name of Air India flight AI 2879 (Delhi to Hyderabad). After this incident, the concerned aircraft made a safe landing in Hyderabad at 8:45 pm. Apart from this, the Indigo flight coming from Medina, Saudi Arabia to Hyderabad was diverted to Ahmedabad after receiving a bomb threat on Thursday. There were a total of 180 passengers and 6 crew members on board flight number 6E-58.

Investigation ongoing, security tightened

Hyderabad Airport GMR said that all threats received were viewed seriously and prescribed security procedures were immediately implemented in each case. These procedures include joint checks with national security agencies of aircraft and premises, verification of passengers and crew members, random/focused checks of baggage and cargo, and security alerts on runways and terminals as required. Officials say that safety of passengers remains the top priority and no loss of life or property has been reported.
