IND vs NZ 2nd T20 Match: India created history by chasing 209 runs in 15.2 overs against New Zealand in the second T20 match. Successfully achieving the target of more than 200 runs with 28 balls remaining shows the ability of the Indian team and its depth in batting with strong power hitting. Perhaps for this reason, after the match, New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner even said that even 300 runs would fall short in front of a team like India.

Strong performance of Ishaan-Surya
While chasing the huge target of 209 runs, Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav played an unbeaten inning of 82 runs and with him Ishan Kishan played a match-winning inning of 76 runs. Thanks to these two, the host team won the second T20 by seven wickets and took a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. This is the joint biggest successful chase for India.

What did Mitchell Santner say?
After the match, New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner gave credit to the Indian batsmen, and joked that even 300 runs might not be enough against India. He said, ‘To face a team like India, there is a need to do better with the ball, because against a team like India, scores of 200-210 no longer seem safe. Against these guys, maybe even 300 falls short when you come up against a team like India, who bat deep on good wickets. The way he came out with intent from the very first ball. We probably have to work a little harder, knowing that 200-210 is not enough.
