In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 match between Delhi and Gujarat, a young spinner fulfilled the dream that every domestic cricketer thinks about. Gujarat’s left arm spinner Vishal Jaiswal dismissed star batsman Virat Kohli. Due to a magical ball from 27 year old Gujarat all-rounder Vishal, Virat Kohli missed out on scoring his second consecutive century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Vishal Jaiswal met Virat after the match, whose photo he shared on his social media account.

Got a special gift from Vishal Jaiswal

Virat Kohli, playing his second innings for Delhi in the tournament, looked in great form. He played an inning of 77 runs in 61 balls, in which it seemed that he was on his way to score his second consecutive century. But then a brilliant ball from Jaiswal changed everything. Kohli wanted to come out of the crease and attack the spinner, but the flight and turn of the ball defeated him completely. The bat waved in the air and the wicketkeeper made the stumping easily.

Jaiswal’s happiness was palpable as soon as he took the wicket. But his enthusiasm did not stop here. After the match was over, he met Kohli and took autograph on the match ball and also got his photo clicked. Posting on social media, Jaiswal wrote, ‘From watching him dominate world cricket to playing with him on the same field and taking his wicket, this is a moment that I had never imagined would turn into reality. Taking Virat Bhai’s wicket is an experience which I will always cherish. I am very grateful for this opportunity, this journey and whatever this beautiful game has given me.

Vishal Jaiswal took a total of 4 wickets

This match was very good for Vishal Jaiswal. He took four wickets for 42 runs in ten overs. Apart from Kohli, he clean bowled Rishabh Pant and also sent Arpit Rana-Nitish Rana to the pavilion. Due to his sharp bowling, Delhi team could reach only 254/9 in 50 overs. However, Vishal Jaiswal’s team could not win this match. His team was all out for 247 runs in 47.4 overs and lost the match by seven runs.
