After continuous complaints regarding disorganization of cow shelters and withdrawal of funds in Mauganj district, the district administration seems to be in action mode. Mauganj Collector Sanjay Kumar Jain has taken this entire matter seriously and has initiated strict action.
59 cow shelters in the district registered on the portal
At present 59 cow shelters are registered on the portal in the district. 29 nodal officers were deployed by the Collector for regular monitoring of these cow shelters. Nodal officers inspected the cowsheds of their respective areas and submitted the investigation report to the Collector. Based on the investigation report, serious irregularities were found in 24 cow shelters. After this, Collector Sanjay Kumar Jain has issued show cause notices to the 24 cow shelters concerned.
Collector warned
The Collector has clarified that if a satisfactory reply is not given within the prescribed time limit, action will be taken to recover the amount withdrawn by the concerned cow shelters. Also, further strict steps can be taken. After this action, there is a stir in other cow sheds of the district also and there are indications of strict monitoring by the administration.
